Funded by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), this project will provide 50 unemployed post-secondary youth graduates with work experience in the manufacturing sector. Length of work will range from 3 to 12 months. CSTEC will work closely with the following organizations as sources of employment:
- Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CM&E);
- Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA);
- Metal Service Centres Institute; and,
- Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC).
In addition, CSTEC has liaised with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) as well as individual colleges such as SIAST (Saskatchewan), Mohawk College (Hamilton), and Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie), to recruit students to the program.
